A Real Dialogue: Alicia Inshiradu

Pilot episode of the new Dub City Heartbeat series A Real Dialogue! We sat down with Alicia Inshiradu of Playing God Films. She is currently working on a short film called What the River Knows. Alicia wrote the screenplay for What the River Knows while in graduate school at UNCW in 1999. It is a story based on one of the worst days in Wilmington history, November 10th, 1898. On this day white supremacists such as Hugh Macrae & William H. Bernard(Founder of Star News), violently overthrew the democratically elected fusionist government. To learn more about the 1898 Massacre check out Dub City Heartbeat Podcast episode 1  and episode 3 with Wilmington On Fire creator Chris Everett and Democracy Betrayed author David Cecelski.

On Friday October 13th Playing God Films will be hosting a poetry, music, & dance event at Morning Glory Coffee House in support for the film. Come out and support a great cause!     Link to Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/536221543397749/
